Heading Home

I am heading home for a little visit soon. I am so excited. I love the farm so much. While I am there I am going to do a million things.

-play with my nieces and nephews
-say hi to the cows
-go on a canoeing trip with my sister
-help my parents in the garden
-eat and eat and eat
-jump on the trampoline
-swim in the pool
-pick food from the garden

I cannot wait to see my family. Family is the best. As my parents get older I value the time that I spend with them more and more. It's crazy to think that they won't always be there.

I feel smarter

The truth is I feel smarter with my glasses on. Do any of you experience this same feeling?

Thoughts About College

Don’t go to college if you don’t know what you want to do. You will not figure out what you want to do at college. College is too expensive to just hangout there. Go out into the world, stay home, travel, figure out what it is that you want to do, and then, only then if a degree stands between you and what it is that you want to do get it as cheaply and quickly as you can. You hear me? I didn’t hear anyone when they told me this before I went to college. The money that I would have saved, the time, the heartache, just don’t do it. I will tell you though that I am going back next semester so don’t listen to me.

As fun as this is, do I really want to pay for it for the rest of my life?

Birthday Birthday Birthday

I got the best birthday presents this year:

From Joel I got a GUITAR:

And from my parents I got KNIVES:

Missing My Man

Joel is out of town and it is killing me. I thought that I would be excited to have the house all to myself and be able to do lots of projects, but it's not that fun to do stuff unless you have someone to share it with.

I have been doing some fun things though. Writing lots of letters, reading lots of books and blogs, watching some movies, doing some home decorating, deep cleaning the house, and making lots of phone calls to distant friends and family.

White Duck Tacos

Is it embarrassing that I went to the same place for dinner three out of five nights? I don't think so. Not when it's as awesome a White Duck Tacos.

They have taken the taco, which is delicious already, and expanded its possibilities ten-fold. Their menu features things like: BBQ Carnitas, Thai Peanut Chicken, Etc.

Also they have great drinks for pretty cheap! Check out there sweet website at this link:
