Triangular Pennant

Though I had already made this so called pennant, it took several google searches to figure out the technical term for it. I was under the impression that this type of banner had a different, more specific name than "triangular banner". But several google searches yielded nothing... But finally I found what I was looking for. Pennant: Etymology: alteration of pendant
1 a : any of various nautical flags tapering usually to a point or swallowtail and used for identification or signaling b : a flag or banner longer in the fly than in the hoist; especially : one that tapers to a point. 2 : a flag emblematic of championship (as in a professional baseball league); also :the championship itself.
My pennant falls into both definitions. First it follows the specifics for the shape of a pennant. Secondly, it is an emblem of the victory that consumerism has achieved over the American people.

  1. Hi Leah, thank you for visiting my blog and your lovely comment. These kind of pennants are commonly known as "Bunting" and you will find several examples if you google that. Cheers!
